The LOAT (Level of Automation Taxonomy) is a useful tool for assessing Drilling Systems Automation (DSA). The process is derived from the Aviation industry and adapted for the drilling industry with permission from DSA Roadmap.
The LOAT chart below shows, in the green boxes, where Safe Influx’s technology currently sits, and in the red boxes, where Safe Influx expects the Automated Well Control technology to be ranked in the next 5-10 years, as the industry increasingly embraces the use of automation.
